Assisted living is designed to enhance life, not detract from it! Assisted living is for individuals who could benefit by some extra support for activities of daily living (called ADLs). We’re here to help residents live as independent, safe, and empowered as possible, for as long as possible. Our residents enjoy nutritious meals, and appreciate the personalized services provided by professional caregivers.
Some residents need very little, such as meals and housekeeping. Others need additional support, such as daily medication management, hands-on grooming, shower assistance, meal reminders, and/or an escort to and from meals and events. Although many people are first resistant to leave their homes, they soon settle in and look forward to our activities and opportunities to socialize with their new friends (many of which become like family).
“What makes Bridgeway Pointe different than other assisted living communities?”
Here are just a few advantages to life at Bridgeway Pointe:
Younger Adults Welcome: Unlike most assisted living communities, Bridgeway has a dynamic mix of younger and older adult residents. We even have an active group of ”baby boomer” residents. Our entire community benefits by the friendships among all ages. For more information, see our Baby Boomer Brochure.
Easy Access to Drake Center’s Physicians, Therapies and Programs: Bridgeway is part of UC Health and Drake Center. If needed, our residents simply go down the hall for easy access to Drake’s broad range of health services, including wellness programs and aquatics, physical, occupational and speech therapies, support groups and Stroke Recovery Center – affiliated with the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati’s University Hospital and the UC Neuroscience Institute.
Nationally-Recognized, Secured Memory Care: The Harbor, Bridgeway’s secured dementia care area, was the first assisted living facility in Ohio to have earned the status of “Excellence in Dementia Care” by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
Cutting-Edge Technology: Bridgeway is the first in the region to offer the Healthsense eNeighbor® Remote Monitoring System, a valuable service option to help maximize our residents’ health, safety and quality of life as long as possible. Ask us how non-invasive sensors may help detect a fall, or alert our staff to a specific health condition that may need to be addressed.
First Assisted Living Community in the Region to Offer On-Site Dialysis: Available on the campus of Drake Center. For more details, see this Fact Sheet.
“Are there resources to help pay for assisted living?”
Bridgeway Pointe is a non-profit, private-pay residence and we strive to keep our fees as low as possible. Public funds are generally not available to pay for assisted living room and board. However, some programs may be available to help defray costs (such as Veteran Aid and Attendance benefits, long-term care insurance and Medicaid Waiver). In some instances, Medicare may reimburse for some ancillary services.
“If I need additional care later, can I stay at Bridgeway Pointe?”
Our staff will help you determine what services may be needed to continue to live safely and securely. Although each situation is unique, we do offer many services that may help increase the level of care to effectively meet our residents’ changing needs, including skilled specialty services at Drake Center.
